Don't Be Sorry

There's so many different things I hear when I first meet people. The Lord has blessed me with the ability to hold myself in a way that people don't have the opportunity to feel sorry for me. But on occasion it does happen. There are so many thoughts and emotions that go through my mind when I hear someone say "I'm sorry you're in a wheelchair". Anger, frustration, bewilderment, self-pity and my a bsolute favorite, disbelief in myself. But almost ALWAYS I am reminded of who I am in Christ! My hands and legs don't work "properly" but that has not stopped me from achieving so many things! Even though I'll probably never be able to walk, I am so grateful for the abilities that I have been given. Like, crawling and being able to use my phone. These might seem like little things to most people but to me they're everything! I'm hoping one day I'll be able to dress myself. I'm hoping one day I'll be able to get in and out of my ...
